Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities for Interior Design Intern

  1. Assisting Design Team: Support senior designers in the development and execution of design concepts for various projects.

  2. Research and Analysis: Conduct research on design trends, materials, and products to assist in project development.

  3. Drafting and Rendering: Create sketches, CAD drawings, and 3D renderings to visualize design ideas.

  4. Material Selection: Help in selecting materials, finishes, and furnishings, and assist in preparing presentation boards.

  5. Site Visits: Participate in site visits to gather measurements and assess project requirements.

  6. Client Interaction: Assist in preparing for client meetings and presentations, and take notes during discussions for future reference.

  7. Project Documentation: Organize and maintain project files, including design documentation, specifications, and correspondence.

  8. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other interns and team members on design projects and tasks.

  9. Vendor Communication: Assist in communication with vendors and suppliers regarding product information and samples.

  10. Learning and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and software through training and self-directed study.

Requirements
Job Requirements for Interior Design Intern

  1. Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

  2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or Adobe Creative Suite.

  3. Basic Knowledge of Design Principles: Understanding of color theory, space planning, and material selection.

  4. Creative Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing design projects and creative work, even if academic or personal.

  5. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail in both design and documentation.

  6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

  7. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to group projects.

  8. Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  9. Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and feedback.
