A. COMPETITION-SPECIFIC RULES

In addition to the provisions of the General Competition Rules below, you understand and agree to these Competition-Specific Rules required by the Competition Sponsor:

The CLM CALENDAR DESIGN COMPETITION (“Contest”), organised by Cheras LeisureMall (“Organiser”) is open to all Malaysian residents residents aged 18 years old and above.
How to join:
- a. Come up with an original and creative artwork with the theme provided with your preferred method of drawing.
- b. Submit your design via Artmeet's competition page not later than 30 June 2022.
- c. Please submit the artwork in either .AI, .JPG or .PDF format in the size of 25cm x 25cm in between 5MB – 10MB.
- d. The selected top 12 designs will be featured in Cheras LeisureMall 2023 calendar prints and the top 12 winners will be awarded RM500 worth of CLM Cash Vouchers.
The score and ranking for the prizes will be based on judges’ scores. The judges’ score will be based on neatness, creativity, colour combination and overall presentation.
The judges’ decision is final and no further requests, claims or correspondence whatsoever will be entertained.
Participants hereby agree to allow the Organiser to retain the design submitted during the Contest for display at Cheras LeisureMall.
The Organiser reserves the right and sole and absolute discretion to reject and disqualify any design deemed unsuitable for display, offensive in nature or which are not compliant with the Rules & Regulations of the Contest.
The Organiser reserves all rights to determine whether work will be accepted, and may at the Organiser’s discretion modify/edit any submitted artwork for its own purposes.
The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify winners who are found to be in breach of the Rules & Regulations stated herein.
Each winner is entitled to one prize only and all prizes are not exchangeable for cash.
Winners will be announced on Cheras LeisureMall’s Facebook page and Instagram page within 14 days from the last day of Contest.
The Organiser will not be responsible for any accident, mishap, death, damage or injuries occurring during the Contest or in connection with the Contest in any manner whatsoever. No claims of any kind can be made against the Organiser. Participants agree to be bound by the rules, regulations and final decision of the Organiser.
The Organiser retains all rights to publish and use the names, personal details, photographs and/or video recordings of the participants including all materials submitted during the Contest for the purposes of advertising and/or trade publicity for promotions, without any prior notice to the participants who by submitting their entries to the Contest hereby consent to such use by the Organiser. All participants shall not be entitled to claim ownership or other forms of claims or compensation whatsoever on any of the materials submitted to enter the Contest. By submitting an entry to the Contest, each participant hereby consent to continue receiving promotional materials and information from PPB Group Berhad.
The Organiser reserves the right at its sole and absolute discretion to amend the terms and conditions mentioned above or in connection with the Contest at any time without prior notice.
The Organiser reserves the right at its sole and absolute discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest at any time without prior notice.
The Organiser’s decision on any and all matters in respect of the Contest is final and conclusive and no further, challenges, objections, requests, claims or correspondence whatsoever will be entertained.

B. GENERAL COMPETITION RULES

1. Binding Agreement

To enter the Competition, you must agree to these Official Competition Rules, which incorporate by reference the provisions and content of the Competition Website and any Specific Competition Rules above (collectively, the "Rules"). Please read these Rules carefully before register to ensure you understand and agree. You further agree that submission of an entry in the Competition constitutes agreement to these Rules. You may not submit an entry to the Competition and are not eligible to receive the prizes associated with this Competition (“Prizes”) unless you agree to these Rules. These Rules form a binding legal agreement between you and the Competition Sponsor with respect to the Competition.

2. Eligibility

A. To be eligible to enter the Competition, you must be:

(i) a registered account holder at Artmeet.my

(ii) 18 years old and above

(iii) not a resident of Crimea, Cuba, Iran, Syria, North Korea, or Sudan;

(iv) not against the eligibility that stated by the Sponsor

The Competition Host reserves the right to verify eligibility and to adjudicate on any dispute at any time. If you provide any false information relating to the Competition concerning your identity, residency, mailing address, telephone number, email address, ownership of right, or information required for entering the Competition, you may be immediately disqualified from the Competition.

3. Sponsor & Hosting Platform

The Competition is sponsored by Competition Sponsor named above. The Competition is hosted on behalf of Competition Sponsor by Artmeet Platforms Sdn Bhd (“Artmeet”). Artmeet is an independent contractor of Competition Sponsor, and is not a party to this or any agreement between you and Competition Sponsor (unless the Competition is hosted by Artmeet). You understand that Artmeet has no responsibility with respect to selecting the potential Competition winner(s) or awarding any Prizes. Artmeet will perform certain administrative functions relating to hosting the Competition, and you agree to abide by the provisions relating to Artmeet under these Rules. As a Artmeet.my account holder and user of the Artmeet competition platform, remember you have accepted and are subject to the Artmeet's Terms of Service in addition to these Rules.

4. Competition Period

For the purposes of Prizes, the Competition will run from the Registration Start date and time to the Submission Deadline. You can join the Competition before the Registration Deadline. The Competition Timeline is subject to change, and Competition Sponsor may introduce additional hurdle deadlines during the Competition Period. Any updated or additional deadlines will be publicized on the Competition Website. It is your responsibility to check the Competition Website regularly to stay informed of any deadline changes. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING THE CORRESPONDING TIME ZONE IN YOUR LOCATION.

5. Competition Entry

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. To enter the Competition, you must register on the Competition Website prior to the Registration Deadline, and follow the instructions for designing and entering your Submission through the Competition Website.

6. Artwork Submission & Requirements

You can submit your artwork from the Competition Start date until the Submission Deadline. Your Submissions must be made in the manner and format, and in compliance with all other requirements, stated on the Competition Website (the "Deliverables"). Submissions must be received before any Submission deadlines stated on the Competition Website. Submissions not received by the stated deadlines will not be eligible to receive a Prize.

Submissions are void if they are in whole or part illegible, incomplete, damaged, altered, counterfeit, obtained through fraud, or late. Competition Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who does not follow these Rules, including making a Submission that does not meet the Requirements.

7. Determining Winners

Each Submission will be scored and ranked by the evaluation metric stated on the Competition Website (“Evaluation”). You understand that the Sponsor of the Competition is the only party to evaluate your submission, and Artmeet is not involved to determine the winner (unless the Competition is hosted by Artmeet).

The Sponsor of the Competition will shortlist the potential winners. The sponsor can shortlist unlimited potential winners. Therefore, please read carefully from the Competition Website to understand the number of shortlisted contestants before you join the Competition.

After the shortlisting stage, the Sponsor will select the final winner(s). The number of winners will be up to five (5), and not less than three (3). Please check the number of winners from the Competition Website.

Besides that, you also understand that you have read properly about the judging criteria from the Competition Website (“Evaluation”) before you join the Competition. Please do not join the Competition if you do not agree and accept the judging criteria.

8. Notification of Winners & Disqualification

The winner(s) will be notified by email.

If a potential winner (i) does not respond to the notification attempt within one (1) week from the first notification attempt or (ii) notifies Artmeet within one week after the Submission Deadline that the potential winner does not want to be nominated as a winner or does not want to receive a Prize, then, such potential winner will not receive any Prize, and an alternate potential winner will be selected from among all eligible entries received based on the Competition’s judging criteria.

In case (i) and (ii) above Artmeet may disqualify the participant. Competition Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant from the Competition if the Competition Sponsor reasonably believes that the participant has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Competition by cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices or abuses, threatens or harasses any other participants, Competition Sponsor or Artmeet.

A disqualified participant may be removed from the Competition leaderboard, at Artmeet's sole discretion. If a Participant is removed from the Competition Leaderboard, additional winning features associated with the Artmeet competition platform, for example Artmeet medals, may also not be awarded.

The final leaderboard list will be publicly displayed at Artmeet.my. Determinations of Competition Sponsor are final and binding.

9. Prizes

Prize(s) are as described on the Competition Website and are only available for winning during the time period described on the Competition Website. The odds of winning any Prize depends on the number of eligible Submissions received during the Competition Period and the skill of the participants.

All Prizes are subject to Competition Sponsor's review and verification of the participant’s eligibility and compliance with these Rules, and the compliance of the winning Submissions with the Submissions Requirements. In the event that the Submission demonstrates non-compliance with these Competition Rules, Competition Sponsor may at its discretion take either of the following actions: (i) disqualify the Submission(s); or (ii) require the potential winner to remediate within one week after notice all issues identified in the Submission(s).

Prize(s) will be awarded within approximately 14 days after the Result Announcement Date.

You are not eligible to receive any Prize if you do not meet the Eligibility requirements in Section 2 above.

10. Taxes

ALL TAXES IMPOSED ON PRIZES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNERS. Payments to potential winners are subject to the express requirement that they submit all documentation requested by Competition Sponsor or Artmeet for compliance with applicable state, federal, local and foreign (including provincial) tax reporting and withholding requirements. Prizes will be net of any taxes that Competition Sponsor is required by law to withhold. If a potential winner fails to provide any required documentation or comply with applicable laws, the Prize may be forfeited and Competition Sponsor may select an alternative potential winner.

11. Publicity

You agree that Competition Sponsor, Artmeet and its affiliates may use your name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

12. Copyright Attribution

By participating in the Competition, you understand and agree the copyright of the Submission belongs to the Sponsor unless otherwise.

13. Portfolio Attribution

You have the right to showcase your submission as your portfolio after the end of Competition.

14. Privacy

You acknowledge and agree that Competition Sponsor and Artmeet may collect, store, share and otherwise use personally identifiable information provided by you during the Artmeet account registration process and the Competition, including but not limited to, name, mailing address, phone number, and email address (“Personal Information”). Artmeet acts as an independent controller with regard to its collection, storage, sharing, and other use of this Personal Information, and will use this Personal Information in accordance with Artmeet's Privacy Policy, including for administering the Competition. As a Artmeet.my account holder, you have the right to request access to, review, rectification, portability or deletion of any personal data held by Artmeet about you by logging into your account and/or contacting Artmeet Support.

As part of Competition Sponsor performing this contract between you and the Competition Sponsor, Artmeet will transfer your Personal Information to Competition Sponsor, which acts as an independent controller with regard to this Personal Information. As a controller of such Personal Information, Competition Sponsor agrees to comply with all Malaysia and foreign data protection obligations with regard to your Personal Information. Artmeet will transfer your Personal Information to Competition Sponsor in the country specified in the Competition Sponsor Address listed above, which may be a country outside the country of your residence. Such country may not have privacy laws and regulations similar to those of the country of your residence.

15. Warranty, Indemnity and Release

You warrant that your Submission is your own original work and, therefore, you are the sole and exclusive owner and rights holder of the Submission. At the same time, you also warrant that the work you submit does not infringe the copyrights of other authors. If there is any infringement, you will be responsible for yourself, and all criminal responsibility will be independent of Artmeet.

16. Right To Cancel, Modify or Disquality

If necessary, Artmeet reserves the right to cancel, modify the Competition or disqualify the participants without prior notice.

What do I need to design?

You're required to design only the calendar header of year 2023 with the theme "Seaworld-inspired", in the format of:

25 cm x 25 cm
CMYK color profile

What do I need to submit?

You're required to submit 1x design image ("the calendar header") in JPG and 1x editable source file (in PDF or AI format).

Please attach the files at the "Submission Files" section of your entry submission form.

How about the "Showcase Images"?

The showcase images (as suggested in 800x600 pixels or in ratio of 4:3) are the images used to pitch or present your idea to the competition sponsor, so as to attract their attention towards your design, and help them to imagine how it looks on their calendar prints. For example, you may do a calendar mockup with your calendar header design.

You may just upload the image of your raw calendar header design (in 25 cm x 25 cm), as there is no restriction on the showcase images. However, minimum one showcase image is required, and up to 5 showcases maximum.

NOTE: The showcase images are a subset of your calendar header design. You're still required to attach the 25 cm x 25 cm JPG image of your design at the "Submission Files" section, as per the deliverables.
