Description
This overall design was completed using both Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
From this artwork, you can see that there are a whale, jellyfish, corals, flowers, and seagrass, as well as a sunset gradient-like as my background.
The main subject is the whale being twined with jellyfish, which reflects us, no matter as students, lecturers, or workers, whatever our position is, we always face situations where we are trapped, or being hedged in by rules and regulations that may have caused us to stop moving forward.
The jellyfish are given plastic bag heads instead of the normal ones, this indicates that the jellyfish are the ones being assimilated by society and lost their own capability of having their own thoughts.
The dark purple to bright red-orange gradient brings out the different atmosphere of mood. Those jellyfish who twined on the whale are on the dark purple side, whereas the whale keeps swimming towards the red-orange side and grows out corals and flowers that represent dreams come true and living out its true colors.
As a calendar, I wish it could be inspirational to the ones that look at it every day and are able to gain motivation from it.
