Doodle Malaysia

Description

My umbrella design is a hand-drawn illustration in a doodle art style, depicting Malaysia's culture, tradition, iconic buildings, and animals. I chose the doodle art style because it is suitable for all regardless of age and gender.

To deliver the theme, ‘Malaysia, Truly Asia’, I believe that culture and tradition are the key elements. Hence, I included food, attire, musical instruments, traditional games, amenities, and celebrations from various races found in Malaysia. To represent food, I chose Nasi Lemak, dumplings, Laksa, and Tosai. Meanwhile, Tepak sireh, Terabai (Iban shield), Sompoton, Wau Bulan, and Lion Dance represent other cultural elements.

In addition, I use Malaysia’s iconic buildings, flora, and fauna to highlight the theme even more. There is KLCC, KL Tower, Rhinoceros Hornbill, tiger, turtle, Hibiscus, Durian, Rafflesia, and pitcher plant. I also included trishaw, one of Malaysia’s tourist attractions.
