Best of both sea worlds

The watercolour painting is inspired by broken mirror in my room. I study the objects reflecting from the broken mirror and amazed by one object appears in multiple angles inside the mirror while it was only remain stationary in one place. Thus I came out with the idea about there could be a different dimension/world in the same broken surface. The mermaid represents the beautiful sea while the octopus arms are the opposite reflection of the mermaid's tail which represents the deep sea. The art portray both worlds are important to bring balance in life. The meaning I am trying to present is no matter which world we were born in, we have our own role to play and no any role are lesser than the other, even a seashell acts as shelter for the tiny crab.
