Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities for Junior Interior Designer

  1. Assisting Senior Designers: Support senior interior designers in developing design concepts and presentations for various projects.

  2. Drafting and Rendering: Create drawings, 3D renderings, and sketches to visualize design ideas using CAD software and other design tools.

  3. Material Research: Conduct research on materials, finishes, furnishings, and design trends to aid in project development.

  4. Project Documentation: Assist in preparing and organizing project documentation, including specifications, schedules, and presentation materials.

  5. Site Visits: Participate in site visits to gather measurements, assess project needs, and document conditions.

  6. Client Interaction: Help prepare for client meetings and presentations, taking notes and assisting in addressing client feedback.

  7. Collaboration: Work closely with team members, vendors, and contractors to ensure design goals are met.

  8. Sample Management: Organize and manage material samples, swatches, and product catalogs for projects.

  9. Learning and Development: Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance design skills and knowledge.

  10. Time Management: Manage assigned tasks and projects efficiently to meet deadlines and support overall project timelines.

Requirements
Job Requirements for Junior Interior Designer

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

  2. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in interior design, including internships or relevant coursework.

  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  4. Basic Design Knowledge: Understanding of design principles, color theory, space planning, and material selection.

  5. Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing design work, including academic projects and internships.

  6. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

  7. Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute to group projects.
