- Project Leadership: Lead and manage multiple design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
- Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and vision for projects, translating these into design concepts.
- Design Development: Create and present detailed design plans, including space planning, color schemes, and material selections.
- Team Supervision: Oversee and mentor junior designers and interns, providing guidance and support throughout the design process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design integrity and coordination.
- Budget Management: Develop project budgets and manage costs, making adjustments as necessary to meet financial constraints.
- Quality Control: Review and approve design documentation, drawings, and specifications to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
- Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to source materials, furnishings, and finishes.
- Stay Updated: Keep current with industry trends, new materials, and technologies to integrate innovative solutions into designs.
- Client Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients, showcasing design concepts and rationale.
- Problem Solving: Address design challenges and provide creative solutions that meet client needs and project requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Design Expertise: In-depth knowledge of design principles, trends, materials, and building codes.
- Project Management Skills: Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, including budgeting and scheduling.
- Client Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills with experience in client consultation and presentations.
- Leadership Ability: Experience supervising and mentoring junior designers and interns.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and creative thinking abilities to address design challenges effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to design work, ensuring quality and precision in all deliverables.
- Portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio that demonstrates a range of design styles and successful project outcomes.
- Certifications: LEED accreditation or NCIDQ certification is a plus.
